The Vanderbilt Investment Club consists of over 50 students representing more than 15 majors and minors. Our recruitment process emphasizes interest and effort over prior experience, selecting analysts typically within their first two years of university. New members undergo a comprehensive training program led by senior members, building skills in financial analysis, valuation, and portfolio management. Through hands-on experience and regular collaboration, members gain practical knowledge that prepares them for careers in investment banking, private equity, trading, and asset management. Senior members consistently secure roles at top-tier firms, reflecting the club’s commitment to professional development.
We seek to recruit Vanderbilt students who show a strong interest in investing and the markets broadly. Our recruitment process begins with information and education sessions which allow prospective members to learn more about our mission as well as key accounting and valuation concepts critical to our interview process. Students then complete a stock pitch case study as well as a final interview.
